Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage — the same rules apply. This policy explains which we use and why.
2. Cookies that do not need your consent
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent because the site cannot function without them. These are always active. At launch, these are the only cookies this site sets.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CognitoIdentityServiceProvider.* | Amazon Web Services (Cognito) | Admin sign-in session tokens for our /admin area (admin users only — not set for public visitors) | Strictly necessary | Session |
| cookie_consent | Quick Pigeon | Stores your cookie consent choice so we do not ask again | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
We set no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies at launch. This table will be updated if that changes.
4. Changing or withdrawing your consent
Because we currently set only strictly necessary cookies, there is no optional category to accept or reject. If we introduce cookies that need your consent, we will ask before setting them and you will be able to change or withdraw your choice on this site at any time, as easily as you gave it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly-necessary cookies will continue to work and some features may break without them.
5. UK law — PECR and DUAA 2025
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, we must obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. We do not set any non-essential cookies at launch, and we do not rely on the DUAA 2025 analytics exception. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
